Marijuana and potato omelette
If you’re a fan of the Spanish potato omelette (“tortilla”) or want to show off your kitchen skills, this recipe never fails and, better still, the star ingredient is cannabis butter.

- 3 medium potatoes.
- 1 small onion.
- 6 eggs.
- Extra virgin olive oil.
- 5 g of cannabis butter.

Start by peeling the potatoes, then cut them into slices about 0.5–1 cm thick – just right so they don’t fall apart when fried.
Place your largest nonstick pan on the hob and add plenty of extra virgin olive oil. When the oil is hot, fry the potatoes over a medium heat.
While the potatoes are frying, chop the onion as finely as possible.

After a few minutes both the potatoes and onion will take on a tasty golden colour, a sign that they are perfectly cooked.
Remove the excess oil by passing the mixture through a sieve, then place the fried potatoes and onion in a bowl.
In a separate bowl, beat the 6 eggs and add salt and pepper to taste. Add the potato and onion mixture to the eggs.
Now for the moment of magic; it’s time to add the cannabis butter and mix everything together.
In the same frying pan you used to cook the potatoes and onion, add some olive oil, place it on the hob and heat gently.
Pour the mixture of potatoes, onion, egg and cannabis butter from the bowl into the frying pan with the hot oil.
As the tortilla is cooking and thickens up, use a wooden spatula to separate it from the edges of the pan, until it is cooked fairly evenly.

When the potato and marijuana omelette starts to solidify, lightly shake the pan from side to side and you should notice the entire tortilla slides around in the pan. Place the plate on top of the frying pan, press it towards the pan firmly with one hand and confidently turn them both over. Lift the pan leaving the omelette on the plate, then slide the omelette back into the pan to fry the uncooked side. Well done, you’ve flipped that tortilla!
Leave it to cook for just a little longer and voilà! Or better said, Oleeeee!
