Cannabic gingerbread cookie recipe

Christmas is coming and in many homes it’s a tradition to prepare typical recipes for this special holiday. Today we bring you the recipe to cook delicious gingerbread cookies.

This recipe gives off one of the most characteristic scents of Christmas and if you prepare our cannabic version of gingerbread cookies the smell will be even more special.

Let’s go for it!

Gingerbread cookies ingredients (for 12 large cookies):

  • 65 g unsalted butter
  • 60 g cannabis butter
  • 1 large egg
  • 125 g dark brown sugar
  • 150 g molasses or cane honey
  • 400 g all-purpose flour
  • ½ teaspoon nutmeg
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 ½ teaspoon ground ginger
  • ½ teaspoon ground cloves

Directions for the preparation of marijuana gingerbread cookies

We will start by mixing the butter and the cannabis butter in a bowl (at room temperature) with a mixer or a hand stirrer.

Then we add the brown sugar and keep mixing. When sugar is well integrated we will add the egg and mix again.

Now is the time to add the nutmeg, cinnamon, ginger, cloves and salt and mix again.

Add the molasses or cane honey and beat very well.

Next, add half of the flour and mix, once it’s well integrated remove it from the bowl and place the dough over the work table. Add the rest of the flour. We will knead by hand until it is well integrated and without lumps.

When we have the cannabic ginger cookies dough ready we shape into a ball and let it rest in the fridge for about 4 hours.

Then, we cut half of the dough (the other half goes back to the fridge) and on a surface with the help of a roller and some flour, we will stretch the dough leaving it with a thickness of about half a centimeter. Then we cut the cookies with the help of the mould cutters and we put them back in the fridge for another 20 minutes.

Then we repeat this step with the other half of the dough.

After the resting time we will bake the previously cut cookies at 180º C for between 10 and 15 minutes.

Once you remove the ginger cookies from the oven, let them cool down and then they can be decorated as we prefer, either with glaze, chocolate, caramel, etc.

And now you have your exquisite marijuana gingerbread cookies ready. Enjoy a green Christmas!
